Excerpts;
Could you introduce yourself to our readers and tell us a little about your background?
I was born into the Adeyanju family, a prominent family in my community, Ajegunle, in the Oro-Ago district of Kwara State.
I attended Community Primary School, Ajegunle, before proceeding to Ajagun Comprehensive High School for my secondary education. Thereafter, I gained admission to the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, where I studied Banking and Finance and graduated in 2005.
I later attended the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Abuja, where I obtained my Master of Business Administration (MBA).
My father is Mallam Idris Adeyanju, while my mother is Mrs. Salamatu Adeyanju.
Before venturing into the travel and tourism industry, what experiences did you have in the business world?
Before I ventured into the travel and tourism business, I was based in Abuja, where I was involved in plumbing work. Later, I met someone who introduced me to the business of supplying hospital equipment.
I eventually left that job and joined MTN Nigeria as a sales representative. I was initially posted to Ogbomoso before I was transferred to Ilorin. Unfortunately, after a short period, our services with MTN Nigeria were discontinued.
Meanwhile, there was a company affiliated with MTN Nigeria known as MTN Solar, and I was engaged by the company as a store manager. I later joined another company called Amba, which was involved in the production and distribution of energy drinks. I worked with the company as a sales representative in Ilorin.
These experiences exposed me to different aspects of business, customer relations and management, and they contributed significantly to my decision to establish my own business.
What motivated you to venture into the travel and tourism business?
At a point, I realised that working for someone else might not necessarily be the best option, particularly in this present economic climate. I noticed that if I could channel the same time, energy and commitment I was investing in working for other people into my own business, I could make meaningful progress.
That realisation actually informed my decision to venture into the travel and tourism business.
