…says honour well deserved

The Group Managing Director of KAM Holding Limited, Dr. Kamoru Ibitoye Yusuf, has congratulated the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on his conferment and turbaning as the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate, describing the traditional title as a fitting recognition of his selfless service, humility and commitment to the development of the state.
Yusuf, a renowned industrialist, said the honour was well deserved, noting that he had witnessed firsthand the impact of the AbdulRazaq administration in creating a peaceful and conducive environment for businesses and communities to thrive.
The industrialist made this known in a congratulatory message issued in Ilorin, where he also commended the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari (CFR), for finding the governor worthy of the prestigious title.
According to him, the Sardauna title carries significant historical and traditional importance, as it is associated with defenders, leaders and individuals who have demonstrated commitment to the welfare and progress of their people.
Yusuf said Governor AbdulRazaq had demonstrated these qualities through his administration’s commitment to peace, infrastructure development and economic growth.
He said, “It gives me immense personal joy and pride to extend my warmest congratulations to you on your royal turbaning as the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari (CFR), on this Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
“This historic title is a fitting recognition of your selfless service, humility and unwavering commitment to the progress of Kwara State.
“As an individual operating closely within Kwara’s industrial landscape and beyond through our globally recognised company, KAM Holding Ltd, I have witnessed firsthand how your administration’s dedication to peace, infrastructure and enterprise has created an environment where business and community life can thrive together.
“The title of Sardauna is reserved for true defenders and leaders of the people, and you have proven to be just that.”
The KAM Holding boss also expressed appreciation to the Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima (GCON), for attending the conferment ceremony as the representative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR).
Yusuf described the Vice President’s presence as a demonstration of the Federal Government’s goodwill towards Kwara State, saying it added prestige to the historic occasion.
He said, “I also take this opportunity to warmly welcome His Excellency, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima (GCON), who honours our state by representing His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), at this grand event.
