Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has been appointed Deputy Vice Chairman III of the revised Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections.

The appointment places AbdulRazaq among the key figures saddled with the responsibility of coordinating the party’s national campaign efforts ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Under the revised structure, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, will serve as Chairman of the council, while Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, is Vice Chairman I.

The National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, is Vice Chairman II.

Other members of the leadership include Senate President, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, who is Deputy Vice Chairman I; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, GCON, Deputy Vice Chairman II; and Governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, Deputy Vice Chairman III.

The Kwara State Governor was also reaffirmed as the PBAT State Coordinator, a position through which he is expected to lead mobilisation, stakeholder engagement and coordination in the state towards ensuring the maximum success of the party in the 2027 elections.

Meanwhile, at least five other prominent Kwarans were included in various positions in the revised campaign council.

Former Minister, Jamila Ibrahim Bio, was appointed Secretary II, Directorate of Fund Raising, while Chief Issa Aremu was named Deputy Director I, Union Relations.

Other Kwarans listed as members of the Directorate of Stakeholders Mobilisation are Raheem Adedoyin, Hakeem Lawal and Pastor John Dara.
