An Ilorin based legal practitioner, Barrister Oladele Bello, has approached the court with a motion against the process seeking the arraignment of his client, the Managing Director of a real Estate Trading Company, Quick Access Macro and Micro limited, Yinka Ojo.
According to the ruling delivered by the presiding judge of the Upper Area Court 1, Justice Mustapha, Yinka Ojo’s counsel at the previous hearings kicked against the process intended to secure the arraignment.
Bello submitted in his application that warrant of arrest was issued against his client without any depositions on oath stating the reason thereafter a summons was also issued.
While maintaining the innocence of his client (defendant) as a law abiding citizen who will always honour court order on his own volition without being compelled or arrested, Bello stressed that only one of warrant of arrest or summons can be used to bring a defendant to court and not the two.
He therefore urged the court to ensure that Justice is served in the matter claiming that the warrant of arrest was issued against the defendant when he has not even know his offence.
He said the court is not a house of brutality but a place where justice is served to determine the truth of any matter saying what is pertinent in the matter is to ensure the appearance of the defendant in court.
Barrister Bello further informed the court of another objection on another ground challenging the court jurisdiction.
The judge asked him not to come orally but by written address and the matter was adjourned at this instance till 18th of next month, April 2023.
Speaking with the press after the proceedings, counsel to the Quick Access company, Barrister Josphine Otun, corroborated her colleague, saying the process of getting the company’s MD arraignment was wrong.
She expressed confidence and hope that the company’s Managing Director will get justice as due.

The case should be dismissed
We desire that Judiciary can be a hope to citizen of Nigeria.
Many innocents are rotten in the dock and abuses of their economic times because of bad justice.
We need a judiciary system in Nigeria that can be transparent and be a source of real hope to the citizens of this country .
We have lots of people including youths that are behind bars suffering for offenses they know nothing about because of an improper justice system
Justice should be given to the managing director Quick Access Macro and Micro Ltd., Judiciary is meant for justice and equity for the safety of all citizens so nothing should be done without following due process including arrest . Court should make citizens trust their judgement for better Nigeria .Thanks
Great. Looking forward to substantial justice being served in this case
Our confidence in the Judicial system is anchored in our belief in Justice across board irrespective of the class.
This is relevant to the objection of the arraignment of a noble Nigerian citizen, honest business man, respected mentor, and responsible father. Let Justice prevail…!
I look out for fairness and true justice to prevail in this case
