Ibrahim Soliu Olatunji, fondly called Aloma, a former vice chairman of Ilorin West Local Government Area, has empowered no fewer than 300 beneficiaries drawn from three zones of Oko – Erin ward, in honor of Senator Saliu Mustapha, a senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
The presentation was made at Jo’oro in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State on Sunday.
Items distributed included food to 200 people, WAEC fees for students and cash grants of ₦5,000 each to 150 beneficiaries to support their businesses.
The event attracted All Progressives Congress, APC party leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, community stakeholders, as well as women and youth groups from across the district.
Speaking at the event, Aloma said the empowerment initiative was part of his commitment to job creation, poverty alleviation and economic inclusion, in line with the vision and political route of his benefactor, Senator Saliu Mustapha, who he described as a rare humanist.
He explained that the empowerment programme is just a tip of the iceberg, saying bigger one is in the oven ahead of Ramadan.
According to him, ‘This programme gives me joy because, it puts smiles on the faces of our people and renews their hope in a better future. Today’s edition is bigger and better than previous ones, both in scope and impact,’ Aloma said.
Aloma, the former Ilorin west vice chairman also used the occasion to appeal to the people of Kwara State to align their mission and wishes to Senator Saliu Mustapha’s gezzet toward eradicating poverty from the state by supporting his governorship ambition come 2027.
”I’m very happy today because it is always good to replicate good deed with gratitude. Senator Saliu Mustapha is a God fearing man. He did not know me from Adam and he showed mercy to me and my family. Because of this , I thought it right to show my appreciation to him within my little capacity to promote his political course via this empowerment.
”it is on this note that I came out today to extend my hands of fellowship with my people in Jo’oro, Ayetoro, Odota, Sawmill and Oko-Erin in the name of the Senator representing the good people of Kwara Central Senatorial District, Senator Saliu Mustapha, ” he stressed.
Continuing, ” Without being unequivocal, Senator Saliu Mustapha is an individual who is uncommonly kind, empathetic, rational, and dedicated to the betterment of humanity. And I think the best and only way Kwarans can compensate this rare political gugernuet is to vote him in 2027 as next governor of Kwara State.”
Aloma further highlighted many of Senator Saliu Mustapha’s top-notch assistance and intervention that cut across length and breath of Kwara which includes, the commissioning of skills acquisition centres in the state , the construction and completion of classroom blocks in several local governments area, the completion of many solar-powered boreholes, and the donation of electricity transformers to several communities, likened the Senator to a Messiah of our time.
”I will still do another empowerment in his name during the forth coming Ramadan which Insah Allah will be bigger than this. Am doing this solely to complement our leader because he is a rare giffer and philantrophist of note. He doesn’t need to know you before he help you. He saved my son’s life, and behold you me, the boy is a graduate today. By God’s grace Saliu Mustapha will be the next Governor of Kwara State come 2027 ” Aloma prayed.
The presence of Hon. Yusuf Baba-Eleyin Alkali, one of the elders in Senator Saliu Mustapha Constituency, drew applause from stakeholders and beneficiaries at the event.
Commending Aloma’s people’s oriented gestures, Baba-Eleyin said he attended the programme because he knows Aloma to be a man who show gratitude to good deed and a loyalist per excellence.
“I’m here today to witness what one of the lovers of Senator Saliu Mustapha is doing in Jooro, in person of Mall. Ibrahim Soliu Aloma, aim at showing his love for our Senator. He has been doing lots of empowerments for his people before now, all in the name of Senator Saliu Mustapha.
“Aloma is a popular politician in his constituent and you too can see how people troopout in their large numbers to honor him. He has shown his stand with the APC before now, and he didn’t hide it. Aloma is not a fake APC member, ” Baba Eleyin affirmed.
He however used the medium to call on the people of Kwara State to rally round the governorship ambition of Senator Saliu Mustapha come 2027, saying there is no other option available.
“Saliu Mustapha is a rare gem and the best gift by Allah to this generation. His ambition to become governor of Kwara State is true and alive, and the handwriting is already on the wall that the good people of Kwara State will overwhelmingly vote for him come next year. He is our next governor, ” Baba Eleyin Alkali assured.
The APC starwart urged the beneficiaries to make proper use of the items and resources given to them to better their lives.
