Florence Ajimobi, ambassador-designate and widow of former Oyo State governor Abiola Ajimobi, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is determined to unseat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the next general election.

Ajimobi made the statement in a video that has circulated widely on social media while she was speaking with journalists at a political event. She said the 2027 polls would be intensely contested in Oyo State, adding that the APC is fully prepared to confront the ruling party both at the state and national levels.
Expressing confidence in her party’s strength, Ajimobi noted that the APC enjoys significant backing from the federal level, including what she described as financial and institutional support, which she believes would neutralise any advantage currently held by the PDP in the state.
She stressed that the party would not be deterred, declaring that the APC is resolute and ready for a tough political battle. Ajimobi also insisted that despite the resources available to the opposition at the state level, her party possesses the capacity and support needed to challenge and ultimately dislodge the PDP from power.
